UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Have fun making your own digital clock and on the way pickup knowledge of converting serial input to parallel out, using shift registers and soldering circuit boards.
Materials you need:
- Raspberry Pi - any model works. Pi Zero without wireless requires wifi dongle or direct keyboard for access.
- Two shift Register ICs 74HC595
- Five current reducing resistors - 1K Ohms each
- Breadboard
- Connectors - assorted
- Wire
- Solder
- Four position seven segment display LED
Preparation:
LED: I recovered an LED from a broken TV set top box. You too can do same or buy a new one. Importantly you need to figure out the pinout.
